Football Zones

Hi everyone! I am back! Last term, it was football zones. Football Zones is where schools come to compete in a football tournament. The football teachers, Dave and Mr Rattenbury, had to pick 1 team of girls and 1 team of boys. For a couple of weeks, we did some trials to see who would be in the 2 teams. I got into the girls team along with Maryam, Angelina, Brooklyn, Aahana, Grace, Ayva, Faith and Hepi. Football Zones was at Eden Park. When we first got there, we took a few photos first:

Then, we headed towards the gate. We were early; so we practised our skills while we waited. Finally, we were let in. The grounds were remarkable!
We headed up into the stands. We put our bags down and looked out towards the fields. Then, we spotted a trophy. We all went down to have a look. It was the Fifa Womens World Cup!
Me and my friend, Angelina took a photo beside the trophy:
In the corner of Eden Park was the Eden Park Stadium. Once again, we practised our skills until we were called over by the Fifa Womens Captain.
She told us that the trophy could only be touched with bare hands by the team that has won it or by the Prime Minister of the country that won it.
Then, we got sent off to our first game, and then the second and the third and so on.
Here are some photos from the games:

We had a lunch break half way through the tournament. Then, we got to go inside the big Eden Park Stadium! We had our last few games and then all the teams met up again. Each team got 5 mini footballs and some T - Shirts. Then, our school went to leave. It was a great day and I had a lot of fun.
See you next time. Blog you later!!!
