Basketball Zones

Hey bloggers! I am back!

On Tuesday the 4th August, some people got chosen to go to Basketball Zones. Those people were Me, Leilah, Disaree, Demetrius, Peityn, Daiki, Demetrius, Freddy, Marcus T., Yousuf and JiHu.
We played around 10 games. We won all of them except for two against Hillsborough but because we were in the social grade, there weren't any scores or finals.

The teams we played against were Hillsborough, Christ the King, Hay Park and Marshall Laing. We did some practicing at the start before the zones started to get warmed up. It was heaps of fun and I really want to do it again. We had a buddy that we switched with every half of the game so we had equal game time.
Here are some photos of the day!

Thank you for reading my blog post! Please feel free to leave a comment!

  1. Kia ora Jaimie. Thanks for sharing your day with us. I'm interested to know what you learnt throughout the day? The photos are great but maybe you could just pick your favourites or put them onto some slides so people don't have to scroll so much?

    1. Hi Mr Margetts,
I learnt a lot of things on the day and I got better at dribbling, passing and shooting. Next time, I will add a slideshow. That sound like a great idea!

  5. Hi Jaimie, what a super achievement to be chosen to represent our school. It sounded like it was a fabulous day. I know Mr Riceman was really proud of all of the students from Waikowhai who participated, he commented that you all demonstrated excellent sportsmanship - ka pai! If you read today's school newsletter, you'll see that the team got a write-up. Maybe just check spellings of names before you publish next time, ie. Christ the King. (I had to delete this comment the first time because I spotted my own spelling error!) I'm really looking forward to our online rehearsal tomorrow, it'll be quite different but I'm sure it'll be fun. Until then, take care and keep being kind.

  6. Hi I am Ella, I love your description and detail you have put into it. My school (Marshland) went to a tournament too and it wasn't too long ago either. I think they won all of their games except for two. I think maybe next time have less photos and more writing. You must be pretty good to be chosen to represent your school. I can see that you have really tried your best to entertain and present your work.
    -Ella :D
