Summer Haikus - 18th December 2020: Friday

Hey bloggers,
I am back!
Today, I did a Summer Learning Journey Activity. This activity was Summer Haiku Poems. We had to make a slideshow of some summer haiku poems that we made and then make a screencastify of it. Here are my haikus:

Thanks for reading my blog post. Have you done this Summer Learning Journey activity yet?

  1. Hi Jaimie.

I'm also doing the Summer Learning Journey. It is really great to see other kids from our school doing it. I really liked how you described summer in different ways. I thought your pictures were very eye catching.

I look forward to seeing more of your journey.
    Awesome blogging!!

    Blog you later, Jaimie!

  2. Ka pai Jamie. Awesome haikus! Maybe we'll have to do another poetry slam next year so that you can use these awesome skills. It's great that people can read your haikus but also listen to you perform them. Keep up the awesome blogging!

  3. Hey Jaimie,

I’m Daniel from the SLJ Blog commenting team. I’m looking forward to seeing all your amazing blog posts and I hope you’re enjoying your summer too.

Good work on the ‘Kick start’ and ‘Step it up’ parts of the Haiku activity. Your video and slideshow are really well presented, you speak clearly and the pictures match the poems well.

I especially like the lines ‘Sun and water fights’ and ‘Splashing about in the sea’ . They create a really vivid picture of summer and that feeling of water on your skin and hot sun above you.

    Great blog post Jamie,
See you later in the comments.

    Daniel
