Hey bloggers,
I am back!
Today, I did a Summer Learning Journey Activity. This activity was Summer Haiku Poems. We had to make a slideshow of some summer haiku poems that we made and then make a screencastify of it. Here are my haikus:

Christmas Activities!

 Hey bloggers! I am back!

Throughout the week, we have been doing some Christmas activities. Some of them includes weaving some heart decorations and making Christmas tree dot arts.

I'll talk about the dot art first. So, you need a template that's a picture of a Christmas tree, but instead of a line, it's dots. You also need a piece of card and a pin. You need to line up the piece of card and the template of the Christmas tree. The template goes in front of the card. Once you've lined them up, then you've got to get a pin and stab it into each dot on the template. Make sure you're on the carpet so the pin doesn't make a mark in anything! Once you're finished, you put it up to the window and the light shines through. Pretty cool, right? Also, we weaved some heart baskets.

Here are some photos!

Summer Learning Journey Teaser!

Hi guys, I am back!

Today, we did the Summer Learning Journey Teaser! In case you didn't know, the Summer Learning Journey is a Summer program where you blog throughout the Summer. You have to do activities and then blog about them. This year's topic is Celebrating Summer!

This is a practise for the real thing.

We did an activity on Art Colouring Book. We had to choose a piece of art to copy and try and make it the same. Which one do you think is mine and which one do you think is the original?

Number 1.

Number 2.

Let me know in the comments which one you think is real and which is mine.

Skateboarding

Kia ora, bloggers,

I am back!

Have you ever learnt to skateboard? Well, we did!

We had some skateboarding lessons today and if was fantastic! We had two coaches; Laurence and Ben. They taught us some different skills to improve our skateboarding. Some of the skills they taught us included tic-tacs, turning, stopping and picking up speed.

We also played a game called What's up, Wolf? How you play this game is the wolf is on a skateboard and they start the game by saying "What's up, wolf pack?". The wolf pack then replies "What's up, wolf?". Then, the game begins. The wolf will skate towards the line at the other end of the court. The wolf pack have to follow behind, getting ready to stop when needed and trying not to overtake the wolf. If they do overtake the wolf, they have to go back 8 pushes on the skateboard.

Occasionally, the wolf will turn around, and everyone has to stop. If they don't stop and the wolf catches them, then they have to go back 4 pushes on the skateboard. After a few stops and goes, the wolf will shout out "Dinner time!" Between the wolf pack, it's a race to the line. Whoever gets over the line on their skateboard becomes the next wolf.

I loved the What's Up, Wolf game! It was so fun! I also loved learning new skills like tic-tacs. I am now pretty confident with a skateboard and I think that's great!

I'm really excited for the next session. Here are some photos:

My Recipe

 Hey bloggers,

I am back!

During lockdown, the teachers made a slideshow for us to put some family recipes on. They could be simple recipes or just normal ones. I did a recipe for the Scrambled Eggs that our family makes. We make it with different herbs, like parsley and other things, too. Down below is an image of my recipe, too.

Make sure to try my recipe out and let me know what you think about it? Was it easy to understand? Delicious to eat? Let me know what you think!

Animating a Name

Kia ora, everyone!

We're back in lockdown again, but that's OK!
Today, for my Maths at home, I did some coding. Where I animated my name. I had to add different blocks to code, which was cool. This task challenged me I bit but I got used to it. Towards the end, I didn't even need the tutorial videos to help me out!

This coding activity shows my interests and favourite things.

Check my animation out by playing it down below.

I used Scratch to make this animation. It was VERY fun to do as a Maths task, and I would definitely do it again.
Have you ever used Scratch before? Do you like coding? Have you ever done anything like this before?

Basketball Zones

Hey bloggers! I am back!

On Tuesday the 4th August, some people got chosen to go to Basketball Zones. Those people were Me, Leilah, Disaree, Demetrius, Peityn, Daiki, Demetrius, Freddy, Marcus T., Yousuf and JiHu.
We played around 10 games. We won all of them except for two against Hillsborough but because we were in the social grade, there weren't any scores or finals.

The teams we played against were Hillsborough, Christ the King, Hay Park and Marshall Laing. We did some practicing at the start before the zones started to get warmed up. It was heaps of fun and I really want to do it again. We had a buddy that we switched with every half of the game so we had equal game time.
Here are some photos of the day!
