Whai String Games - Monday 4th January 2021

 Kia ora, bloggers

I am back!

Today I did a string game for my Summer Learning Journey activity. First, we had to read a book about What String Games. Then, we had to take a photo of the cup and saucer that we made. I also did a bonus activity and made a video of me making the cup; and saucer and I also stepped it up a bit by filming how to do another string art, but you'll have to watch the video to see what it is!

Here is my photo of my cup and saucer:

Thank you for reading my blog post. Have you ever made a cup and saucer with string before?

It's Cool To Be Kind! Monday 28th December 2020

 Hey bloggers,

I am back! Today I did yet another Summer Learning Journey activity. First, I had to play a game called Kind Kingdom, where you have to beat the bully and help the other people. Once you've done that, the bully will become nice. This was my score:

And this was my certificate:

I also did a Google Drawing. Here it is:

The Treasure Code: 24th December 2020: Thursday

 Hey bloggers,

I am back! This activity for Summer Learning Journey was to decipher a pigpen code. It is a special code with unique symbols for each letter.

I figured out what beach the cave was in and made my own code to decipher. Once you figure out what the code is, this is a clue to what my favourite beach is. You can try to figure out my code by clicking on the link to my slideshow.

Have fun! Have you made a pigpen code for someone to figure out before? What's your favourite beach?

What did your Hana Kōkō look like?

Christmas Activities!

 Hey bloggers! I am back!

Throughout the week, we have been doing some Christmas activities. Some of them includes weaving some heart decorations and making Christmas tree dot arts.

I'll talk about the dot art first. So, you need a template that's a picture of a Christmas tree, but instead of a line, it's dots. You also need a piece of card and a pin. You need to line up the piece of card and the template of the Christmas tree. The template goes in front of the card. Once you've lined them up, then you've got to get a pin and stab it into each dot on the template. Make sure you're on the carpet so the pin doesn't make a mark in anything! Once you're finished, you put it up to the window and the light shines through. Pretty cool, right? Also, we weaved some heart baskets.

Here are some photos!
