Hi everyone! I am back!
2019 has been an outstanding year so far. In my first blog post of 2019 I will be sharing with you, my pepeha and my responsibilities as a Year 5 in 2019.
I'll start off my responsibilities.
My first responsibility that I have signed up for is being a librarian. This means I have to issue and return books from the school library. Another job in the library when I am not issuing or returning books is to put books up on the shelf and check that every one is respecting the books. I also have to show up on my day and be committed.
My second responsibility is to be in the Jump Jam team. This means that when we do Jump Jam I have to be at the front leading everyone.
I am also in Choir. I have also signed up for football.
Now, onto my pepeha. Here is my pepeha for 2019:

My fantastic beast
Hi everyone.
I am back! Today for Week 1 Day 3 Activity 1, I had to make up my own beast and describe it.
So here is my description.
Head of a lion, body of a sheep and tail of a rabbit. It roars by squeaking then making a sound like this:
'Fisump!'. It's favourite food is lamb chops. It is called a Fizzybom monster.
I hope you enjoyed my blog post. Blog you later!

Water for a cactus in a year
Hi everyone!
Did you know that cacti can survive with only 3 millilitres a day of water?
For Week 1 Day 2 Activity 3 in the Summer Learning Journey we had to think that we had gotten a cactus for our birthday and had to look after it. Then we had to figure out how much water the cactus would need for a year.
I figured out the answer. It is: 1095 millilitres.

Ferns
Hi everyone!
Today, for Week 1 Day 2 Activity 2 in the Summer Learning Journey, I had to think of 3 NZ Teams that have the word fern in the name and put a picture of their uniform. Then, I have to say which team is our favourite.
Tall Ferns
Black Ferns
Silver Ferns
My favourite team is the Silver Ferns.

Tane Mahuta
Hi everyone!
For Week 1 Day 2 Activity 1 in the Summer Learning Journey, I have to say if I would visit the tallest Kauri tree, Tane Mahuta or Lord of the forest, in the northland.
I would like to visit Tane Mahuta in the Northland because I can't remember the last time I saw a kauri tree and I don't see Kauri trees very often.

Describing our hometown
Hi everyone!
For Week 1 Day 1 Activity 2 for the Summer Learning Journey, we had to describe our hometown.
Here is my description:
It is rainy a lot of the time and you can see the skytower from almost anywhere. The skytower is 328m tall! It is very busy in Auckland, espesially in town. I love that there are lots of events happening all the time but overall I am glad to live in Auckland because it is very safe and we don't get much dangerous things happening like volcano eruptions or earthquakes and tsunamis.
That is my description. I hope you liked it.
